The February sunshine steeps your boughs and tints the buds and swells the leaves within.” William C. Bryant. Here at Londonart at this time of year, it would surely be remiss of us to withhold our wonderful collection of buds, blossoms and bluebells. In watercolour, acrylic and oil even resin, our artists bring spring in all its wonderful guises. James Preston and Gerald Byrne amongst others portray woodlands of brilliant blue. Charlotte Latham concentrates on buds in ‘Budlings’ and Dana Cistovaite too, fills the space with a bud bursting into life. Anna Styrc finds endless inspiration in the form of trees in a wide variety of colour schemes whilst Phil Baker chooses our native woodland tree, the hawthorn. Whether it be the solitary promise of a single bud or a branch full of blossom that evokes spring’s promise, we trust you will take heart from our stirring selection.
