“Everything is blooming most recklessly; if it were voices instead of colors, there would be an unbelievable shrieking into the heart of the night”. Rainer Maria Rilke, “Letters of Rainer Maria Rilke” Pablo Neruda wrote in one of his poems: “You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep Spring from coming”. In these words of Chilean Nobelist is not only a conviction of the eternal recurrence of natural phenomena but also a faith in recovery of Humanity after the horrors of the twentieth century. In many cultures, images of flowers have spiritual metaphorical meanings, which are connected with spring as a symbol of a transition from death to life and the promise of a better Future. Proverb says “No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow”, new season is going to bring new life but what does it mean for us living in the first decades of the new century? Do people still measure time of their life by succession of the seasons or succession of store’s sales?
