Julie Nicholl’s’ “Family of Five for Dinner” humorously portrays the family in warm colours with the flat perspective of a child’s eye view. Each member radiates out from the table like a sun. In sharp contrast, Manuel Sandoval’s intense family drama has the man as the centre of attention whilst all around him hang on his every word.

Eve Tudor’s photographic prints, seen in series, offer a fascinating perspective, for as the woman eats, the world around her seems to dissolve into an orgasm for her tastebuds. Unfortunately the same ‘dinner for one’ has a distinctly melancholy feel in the narrative Stuart Murray creates in “He left before Dessert.” And finally, for a stylish visual feast, see Sara Huxley’s collages “Carluccio’s” and “Dancing Peas” where rough textured, monoprinted fragments are the ingredients for a pleasing melange.
