I have lived in countries that were coming out of conflict; Ireland, South Africa, Czech Republic. The people there are overflowing with energy.” Brian Eno Londonart’s latest exhibition celebrates the energy of Czech Republic and some of our best Czech artists. This beautiful country, rich in history, is the heart of Europe. Artists such as James Vinciguerra and Jaroslav Horky love to paint its fascinating medieval towns and stately castles. Dariusz Piekut and Radka Myslikova find their inspiration in its fields, forests and mountains. Historically, the lands of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia have been a crossroads of culture between the East and the West and there have been many well-known cultural and sporting exports such as Vaclav Havel, Milan Kundera and Martina Navratilova. This charming country still plays a central role today in the development of culture and thought.
