The horizon…something everyone shares despite their differing perspectives. Our exhibition, created to commemorate the anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement in America celebrates this potent symbol of much needed hope. From the supercharged rays of Katarzyna Kujawa’s sun to the “Lunar Splashes” of Asra Khan’s accomplished soft pastel landscapes, the apparent ends of the earth stretch out before us. Whether hard edged and precise with the binocular vision of Linda Griffin or diffuse and dreamy like Jiri Ptacek’s latest mixed media pieces, our artists transport us to the place Vera Tataro entitles “Between Two Worlds”. But what if our searching allowed us to discover there the tiny leaps and gestures of Alan Mynall’s ecstatic distant figures or even Santiago Fernandez’s cliff that watches back?
