Italy we love you! Whether it be for the giddying heights of the mountainous village of Positano or the sombre chic of Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, its clear that our artists love Italy too. Kiran Sharma chooses to illuminate its mysterious shaded passageways whilst Shahid Zuberi seeks to reflect the light in delectable watercolours of Tuscany & the Amalfi coast. Some of our best, native Italian artists Fabio Rota, Marco Ronga and Nicola Masuottolo powerfully depict the classical beauty of the human form. Although in ‘Silent Dialogue’ Rolando Lambiase too depicts the more everyday scene of an Italian couple seated together peaceably on a bench in a quiet piazza. No mere tourist snaps, our photographers have captured some spectacular images; from beautiful towns lit by night to the rolling hills of Sibillini in Umbria.
